Wispfeed Terms of Use

Last updated: July 25, 2026

These Terms of Use govern access to and use of the Wispfeed application (hereinafter, “the app”), available for Android, iOS, macOS, Windows, and Web. By downloading, installing, or using the app, you accept these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

1. Who we are

Gabriel Ortega Molina (hereinafter, “we” or “the developer”) develops and provides Wispfeed. You can contact us at info@wispfeed.app. For more detail on how we process your data, see our Privacy Policy.

2. Service description

Wispfeed is a local-first RSS/Atom feed reader: you can follow the sources you choose, organize them into blocks, read their articles, and mark them as read or starred. Your library data (feeds, articles, reading status) is stored on your own device.

The app also offers optional features that require an internet connection: feed search by name (including an AI-assisted search with a daily usage limit), OPML import/export, and—in paid versions—ad removal, AI article summaries, translation, and cross-device sync with push notifications. Not all of these features are necessarily available in the current version of the app; check within the app itself to see which features are active.

3. Use of the app

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable license to install and use Wispfeed on your devices, solely for your personal use and in accordance with these terms. You may not, among other things: reverse-engineer the app except as permitted by applicable law, use it for unlawful purposes, or attempt to circumvent its usage limits (for example, the daily AI search limits).

4. Third-party content

The RSS/Atom feeds you add to Wispfeed, and the articles, images, and links they contain, are chosen by you and belong to their respective publishers. We are not responsible for the content of those feeds, or for their availability, accuracy, or legality. When you open an article or a link, you leave Wispfeed’s control and become subject to the terms and policies of the destination site.

5. Ads

On the Android and iOS versions, the free tier of the app shows ads served by Google AdMob, unless you’ve purchased the “Remove ads” option described below. The macOS, Windows, and Web versions show no ads.

6. Purchases and subscriptions

6.1 Remove ads

You can remove ads from the app through an auto-renewing subscription, at the price and billing period shown in the app before you confirm the purchase. The subscription renews automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the renewal date, in accordance with the policies of the Apple App Store or Google Play, depending on your device.

6.2 Management and cancellation

You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time from your App Store (iOS/macOS) or Google Play (Android) subscription settings, or directly from Settings within the app, which will take you to that same screen.

6.3 Payments and refunds

All payments are processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play; we never have access to your payment data. Refund policies are those of the corresponding store (Apple or Google), not ours—contact them directly to request a refund.

6.4 Pro subscription (if available)

If a Pro subscription (with AI summaries/translation and push-notification sync) is available in your version of the app, subscribing to it automatically includes ad removal. If you already had the “Remove ads” subscription active and you subscribe to Pro, we’ll notify you within the app so you can cancel the “Remove ads” subscription separately from your store’s settings, avoiding paying for two subscriptions with the same benefit at once.

7. Artificial intelligence features

Features that use artificial intelligence (deep feed search, and in the future article summaries or translation) send the corresponding text to external language model providers to generate a response. These features may have usage limits, and AI-generated results may contain errors—review them using your own judgment before relying on them.

8. Intellectual property

The app, its design, brand, and code are owned by the developer or its licensors. These terms do not transfer to you any intellectual property rights over the app, beyond the license to use it described in section 3.

9. Limitation of liability

The app is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by applicable law. We do not guarantee that the app is free of errors or interruptions, nor the accuracy of third-party feed content or AI features. To the extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the app.

Nothing in these terms limits the rights that Spanish/European consumer protection regulations grant you on a mandatory basis.

10. Changes to the terms and the app

We may update these Terms of Use and modify, suspend, or discontinue app features (including paid features, with reasonable advance notice when reasonably possible). The “Last updated” date at the top of the document reflects the current version.

11. Termination

You can stop using the app and uninstall it at any time. We may suspend or cancel your access to features that require a connection to our servers if you seriously or repeatedly breach these terms.

12. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by Spanish law. For any dispute, the parties shall submit to the courts corresponding under applicable consumer protection regulations, without prejudice to the right to use the European Union’s online dispute resolution platforms where applicable.
